Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Systems and OHS Manager to lead the quality and compliance function within our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements while helping strengthen and integrate safety practices within the existing Quality Management System (QMS).
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and operational discipline across the facility.
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the facility Quality Management System (QMS)
- Integrate safety procedures, standards, and compliance requirements into the existing QMS framework
- Ensure quality and safety processes are aligned, documented, communicated, and consistently followed throughout the operation
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized procedures, safe work instructions, inspection standards, and compliance documentation
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead internal audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective/preventive action processes
- Manage the processes around supplier defects and material returns
- Work closely with production teams to maintain process consistency and adherence to established procedures
- Train and coach employees on quality standards, documentation requirements, and procedural compliance
- Manage Quality and Safety team members and support employee development
- Support production readiness and new product introduction activities as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Manufacturing processes
- Regulatory compliance and workplace safety practices
- Document control and audit systems
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to build cross-functional alignment and drive procedural discipline
Preferred:
- ISO 9001 experience
- Experience integrating safety systems into operational or quality frameworks
- Experience in multi-shift manufacturing operations
- Experience in make-to-order manufacturing environments
