Larga Kitikmeot is a medical boarding home which provides a safe and comfortable home-like atmosphere for patients travelling from the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut for medical services. We are seeking a full time Patient Service Representatives for evening shifts who will be responsible for overall operations at the front desk including answering phones, dispatching drivers, checking-in guests, responding to requests for assistance and confirming medical appointments and travel reservations.
Candidates should identify their Nunavut Land Claims beneficiary status or indigenous heritage.

Responsibilities
o Providing exceptional customer service
o Orientate guests to their rooms, Larga policies, facility amenities, and the general routine of the boarding home. Act as a resource for all guests with any questions they may have.
o Manage keys system; ensure guests are provided with keys upon arrival, and retrieve upon departure.
o Effectively operating a multiline phone system, and transferring calls etc.
o Record arrivals, departures, discharges and admissions in books and on room chart and trip sheets, update as needed.
o Maintain effective communication with guests and dispatch for all transportation needs. Coordinate guests to ensure that they are ready for appointments and airport departures in a timely manner. Support dispatch after hours (evenings and weekends) to coordinate travel to/from medical appointments.
o Advises escorts and patients of travel policies as needed
o Arranges pick-up of medications and special equipment, such as oxygen tanks and tubing as required by guests.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years previous experience in an administrative role.
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize workload.
- Have experience managing conflict resolution and maneuvering high stress situations.
- Must maintain effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to successfully pass a medical and security clearance each year.
