Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Oil Burner Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and systems. This is a rotational position with flights/accommodations and meals included.
Duties
- Maintain and repair residential and commercial oil-fired heating systems, including boilers, furnaces and oil tanks
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform annual cleanings and efficiency checks on boilers and furnaces
- Diagnosing issues with burners, motors, pumps and ignition systems
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, replace components like nozzles and motors
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist with construction or installation projects related to facility upgrades or expansions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
- Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in industrial or commercial maintenance.
- Knowledge of boiler systems, and general construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Mechanical knowledge that enables troubleshooting across various systems.
- Experience working with diverse tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Overtime offered after 40hrs per week. Wage and signing bonus to be discussed during interview process
Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
