Piper Arms Belleville is looking for an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Bartender / Server to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment and enjoy delivering exceptional guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Bartender / Server, you'll be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service, preparing drinks, recommending menu items, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. We're looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, passionate about hospitality, and committed to delivering excellent service every shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
- Take food and beverage orders while providing exceptional customer service.
- Recommend appetizers, premium beverages, desserts, and daily specials to maximize guest satisfaction.
- Promote featured cocktails, beers, wines, and menu items.
- Operate the POS system accurately for order entry and payment processing.
- Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and dining area.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and serve responsibly in accordance with Smart Serve guidelines.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements
- Valid Smart Serve Certification (Required).
- Minimum 2–3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, pub, or bar (Required).
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
