Role Overview
The Sales Head is responsible for defining and executing the company’s global sales strategy across North America and Europe. This role provides strategic leadership to regional sales teams, drives sustainable revenue growth, strengthens key customer relationships, and ensures alignment between sales execution, manufacturing capabilities, and overall business objectives.
The role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep experience in food manufacturing or food products, and the ability to operate effectively across diverse markets, cultures, and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a global sales strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives across North America and Europe.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and product applications to drive profitable growth.
- Own global sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking against targets.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate strategic priorities into executable regional sales plans.
Customer & Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key global and regional customers.
- Lead strategic negotiations, contract structures, and long-term supply agreements.
- Ensure consistent value proposition and pricing discipline across regions.
- Act as the senior escalation point for major customer issues and commercial risk management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop regional sales leaders and commercial teams across North America and Europe.
- Establish clear performance metrics, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture with strong collaboration across regions.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and capability building within the sales organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, and Finance to ensure sales commitments align with manufacturing capacity, cost structures, and service levels.
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams on product launches, innovation pipelines, and go-to-market strategies.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and investment decisions.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure sales activities comply with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices across all regions.
- Manage commercial risk, including credit exposure, contract compliance, and customer concentration.
- Support continuous improvement in pricing governance, contract management, and CRM utilization.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within food manufacturing, food ingredients, or related FMCG sectors.
- Proven experience managing multi-country sales operations across North America and Europe.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale high-performing sales teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and margin management.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced commercial qualification.
- Experience selling into retail, foodservice, industrial, or ingredient-based customer segments.
- Exposure to private-label, B2B, and/or export-oriented sales models.
- Experience working in global or family-owned manufacturing environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $130,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
