We are hiring an experienced kitchen worker for our Yaletown location. We have a full time and a part time position available. For the full time position it will be a mix of day shifts and evening shifts including weekends. Day shifts can start as early as 6:30am. Weekends are our busiest days which mean you will work most weekends. For the part time position we are looking for someone who is available Friday-Saturday and Sundays, which includes a mix of day and evening shifts.

Job description
For this position you may have previous experience in a food service business. Whether as a cook, barista, caterer or in a fast casual food place. We offer on the job training in all aspects of our kitchen i.e. baking waffles, preparing waffle based brunch and dessert dishes, preparing espresso based drinks, prep work, cleaning and other tasks.
General responsibilities and duties

Baking waffles & preparing waffle based brunch and dessert dishes

Preparing Espresso drinks & Cocktails.

Welcoming and helping take out customers

Accepting deliveries

Cleaning & maintenance
You can work well independently, and can also take direction for supervisors and other team members. You are a great team player who like interacting with people, both co-workers and customers.
Requirements

You may have at least one year experience in a food related business.

Barista Skills are an asset.

You possess your Food Safe Level 1 certification or will obtain this during the first 3 months of employment.

You have a Serving it Right certificate as we serve alcoholic beverages (can be obtained upon hiring)

You are eligible to work in Canada, either on a work permit, as a permanent resident or you are a Citizen of Canada. When you have a work permit, we require that there is at least 1 year left on your visa.
