Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team and help maintain the beauty and safety of our outdoor spaces. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping, gardening, and maintenance tasks to ensure that grounds are well-kept, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience with landscape maintenance and construction-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for landscaping and construction projects
- Perform irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper water distribution
- Maintain gardens and lawns through planting, trimming, mowing, and fertilizing
- Use hand tools and power tools for pruning, edging, and general grounds upkeep
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mulching, aerating, and weed control
- Assist with construction projects related to outdoor facilities or landscape features
- Perform mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting on equipment and tools
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities
- Keep grounds clean and free of debris to promote safety and visual appeal
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work environment
- Early morning shifts are common during golf season
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and machinery
