WE ARE HIRING IMMEDIATELY for a Driver-Yard Labourer to work in our outdoor warehouse and equipment yard in Dartmouth. The duties of the position include:
- Pick and prepare scaffolding equipment and gear for jobs
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate forklift truck
- Transport equipment and gear to and from job sites by truck
- Complete necessary log books and paperwork
- Service customers
- Keep warehouse and equipment yard clean and safe, including snow removal as needed
- Review equipment returns (rentals), check for damage, and prepare for return to the appropriate supplier
- Complete truck and equipment inspections and identify repairs or service required
Required qualifications and experience:
- Forklift, Boom Truck, Straight Truck experience
- Experience with material delivery to congested worksites
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean driver’s abstract
- Experience and ability to perform physical labour (lifting up to 50lbs on regular basis)
- A strong work history focused on safe work practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Location:
- Dartmouth, NS, Burnside Industrial Park
- Require reliable transportation to/from work as location is not on direct bus route
- Full-time hourly position with normal work week of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Primarily an outdoor working environment
- Physically demanding
