Office Manager
Hyperion Electric is Calgary’s leader in electrical and audio-visual for custom homes. We have been wiring, lighting, and automating Calgary’s custom homes since 2009. We are looking for full-time office manager who is detail-oriented, reliable, experienced with QuickBooks and likes to help create a positive work environment. Experience in trades is preferred but not required.

General Description
Office manager duties and responsibilities include scheduling meetings and appointments, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, ordering office supplies, greeting visitors and providing general administrative and HR support to our employees. Previous experience as a Front Office Manager, Office Administrator or Executive Assistant would be an advantage. A successful Office Manager should also have experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Quickbooks software. SharePoint, Teams, Planner will be required but can be taught. We deal with the newest technology in our field, a good candidate should be excited by new tools and software.
Ultimately, the Office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.
Requirements and skills
- Fluency in English is a must.
- High School diploma: additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Executive assistant will be a plus.
- Competency in QuickBooks online is a must.
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant.
- Knowledge of Office Administrator responsibilities, systems and, procedures.
- Proficiency in MS 365 (MS Excel, MS SharePoint, Planner and MS Outlook, in particular).
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. printers)
- Familiarity with email scheduling tools.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and a desire to constantly improve essential systems.
