Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and marinating, ensuring all food is ready for service
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, plating dishes, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing workstations
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the shift
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and proper sanitation practices is desirable
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or working in a fast-paced food industry environment will be considered a plus
- A strong understanding of food safety principles to prevent contamination and ensure high-quality service
