ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING
Koers & Associates Engineering Ltd. is looking to fill civil engineering positions at our company on Vancouver Island. Our roles involve working with team members on a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects in our local service area. We are looking for motivated and insightful people who enjoy working in a collaborative environment with like-minded people.
Given a steady and ongoing increase in project workload, we are looking to hire an engineer-in-training seeking exposure to interesting and fulfilling civil infrastructure projects.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be directly supervised by a professional engineer (P.Eng.) registered in BC, and generally be responsible to assist with design, contract administration and project coordination tasks. Responsibilities will generally include the following:
- The preparation of feasibility studies and conceptual designs,
- The design of municipal water, storm and wastewater sewer infrastructure,
- Computer modelling of existing and proposed infrastructure systems,
- Coordinating approval and permit applications,
- Cost estimate, technical specification, and construction document preparation,
- Contract administration and site inspection services.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and work well in a team environment. The candidate must be registered, or eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC. Preference will be given to those with the following:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar field,
- 1 to 4 years of progressive project experience,
- Registered, or eligible for registration, with EGBC,
- Experience with software such as Civil 3D, Infowater and XP-SWMM would be an asset,
- A valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

This is a salaried position with an anticipated starting base salary between $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We can also offer you:
