About the Role
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative to focus on the DIY/Home market segment of our business. You’ll work with inbound leads, existing customers, and select outbound opportunities, primarily selling car lifts and related equipment to residential customers. Babco is strong in this segment, and we expect you to provide an exceptional customer experience to maintain and grow the business.
This is not a call-centre role. You’ll be expected to understand customer needs, recommend the right equipment, and manage deals from first contact through to close.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound sales inquiries from customers
- Qualify leads and assess customer requirements (vehicle mix, budget, timelines)
- Recommend appropriate equipment solutions and prepare accurate quotes
- Follow up on quotes and advance opportunities to close
- Maintain CRM records (leads, opportunities, notes, forecasts)
- Drive repeat business and upsell accessories or additional equipment
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and suppliers as needed
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of inside sales experience
- Experience selling automotive, industrial, or capital equipment is an asset
- Comfortable with higher-ticket sales
- Driven to understand customers’ needs and providing quality solutions for them
- Engage with customers to develop relationships
- Strong phone, email, and follow-up discipline
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Ability to explain technical products in a clear, practical way
- Experience using CRM systems (Babco uses NetSuite)
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Automotive industry background (repair shops, dealerships, fleet, or suppliers)
- Mechanical or technical aptitude
- Experience with financing options, freight coordination, or equipment installation timelines
- Fluency in French

Schedule: Monday to Friday / 8-hour workday
Compensation
- Guaranteed Minimum Salary: $54,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $66,000 – $90,000 (guaranteed minimum + commission)
- Commission is uncapped and performance-driven
OTE will vary based on experience, industry knowledge, and performance.
