Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026
Location: Seba Beach, Alberta
Compensation: $30/hour — paid by Interac e-Transfer
Employment type: Single-day contract
About the role
In The Woods Festival is hiring licensed, professional security personnel for our one-day event in Seba Beach, Alberta. You'll help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests, staff, and performers by managing access points, monitoring crowds, and responding calmly to issues as they come up.
Responsibilities
- Check tickets/wristbands and manage entry at access points
- Monitor crowds and identify potential safety or security concerns early
- Verify IDs and support responsible service in licensed/alcohol areas
- Respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and enforce event policies
- Communicate with the security team and event staff by two-way radio
- Assist guests with directions and general questions
- Coordinate with event organizers and emergency services as needed
- Maintain a visible, professional, and approachable presence throughout your shift
Requirements (must have)
- Valid Alberta security licence (you'll provide your licence number and expiry date)
- Reliable transportation to and from the event site in Seba Beach
- Availability for the full shift on Saturday, September 5, 2026 [10-12 hours]
- Legally eligible to work in Canada and 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods, outdoors, in variable weather
Assets (nice to have)
- ProServe certification
- Experience using two-way radios
- Standard First Aid / CPR certification
- Prior experience working festivals, concerts, or large events
