Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Server Assistant to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will support the serving staff by ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Your primary focus will be on maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food and beverage service, packing take-out orders and providing excellent guest experiences. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and gain valuable experience in food service operations. This position requires working evenings and weekends.
Duties
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately
- Clear tables and reset dining areas efficiently to prepare for new guests
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, kitchen, and service stations
- Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing
- Restock supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Support cash handling processes during meal service, including POS transactions if required
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas for special events or busy periods
- Packing and placing takeout orders effectively with great time management to ensure guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, including serving and food preparation skills
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Experience with food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and working collaboratively within a team
- Friendly attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
Pay: $17.60 per hour
