We’re looking for a lead hand to run and organize a masonry helpers crew on commercial construction sites.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how masonry production works and can keep helpers moving efficiently throughout the day. You’ll be responsible for material flow, scaffold organization, site coordination, and making sure masons have what they need to keep production going.
This is not a “stand around and supervise” position — you’ll be working alongside the crew and helping wherever needed.
Typical Work Includes
- moving block, mortar, and materials
- organizing scaffold and work areas
- coordinating material distribution on site
- supporting masons throughout the day
- helping maintain clean and safe work areas
- assisting with tarp, scaffold, and site setup when required
What the role looks like
- organizing helpers and assigning daily tasks
- keeping crews productive and on schedule
- making sure materials are stocked where needed
- coordinating with foreman and masons on site priorities
- monitoring safety and housekeeping
- helping train less experienced helpers
- stepping in physically wherever needed during busy periods
You should have
- experience in masonry construction
- experience leading or organizing crews is an asset
- strong understanding of commercial site workflow
- ability to work physically in a fast-paced environment
- reliability, communication, and good work ethic
- ability to keep crews organized without constant supervision
