Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood educators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of young children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the needs of all students, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication with families.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding classroom activities and mentoring assistant teachers or interns.
- Ensure the safety of the children indoors, outdoors, community playground and during short trips.
Qualifications
- Level 3 and 2, in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- BEd will be an advantage for our kindergarten and preschool classes.
- Grade 12 diploma is accepted and should be willing to train for the above levels.
- Love and Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
- Time management abilities to balance teaching responsibilities with administrative tasks.
- Classroom experience that demonstrates effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
