Savorra Culinary Academy is a new hands-on cooking studio opening in Kensington, Calgary. We offer public cooking classes, private events, corporate experiences, and summer kids cooking camps in a warm, creative, and welcoming environment.

Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and energetic Kids Cooking Camp Counsellor / Chef Assistant to support our chef instructor during summer cooking camps for children ages 8-12.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids, is comfortable in a kitchen environment, and can help create a safe, fun, and organized camp experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the chef instructor during hands-on cooking activities
- Help supervise children throughout the day
- Support safe kitchen habits, cleanliness, and basic food safety
- Help with ingredient setup, station prep, and cleanup
- Encourage kids to participate, work as a team, and stay engaged
- Assist with transitions between cooking, breaks, lunch, and activities
- Monitor children during non-cooking time, including breaks and outside time when applicable
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children is strongly preferred
- Kitchen, food service, culinary, or camp experience is an asset
- Responsible, patient, energetic, and professional
- Comfortable helping children follow instructions and safety rules
- Able to stay calm and organized in a busy environment
- Must be available for weekday daytime shifts during camp weeks
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Food safety certification is an asset
