Specific Position Duties
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Training and/or experience in early literacy and numeracy instruction

Experience creating engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments that support the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners

Knowledge of and experience implementing differentiated instruction and inclusive practices to support diverse learning needs in a Grade1 classroom
Qualifications and General Duties
The successful candidate will possess:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

A student-centered philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment

Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices

Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
