Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to menu specifications
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with menu planning and daily prep work to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including equipment sanitation
- Support the team during service hours by ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet dietary requirements and special requests
- Ensure proper storage of food items and inventory management
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a culinary aide in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Previous experience in fine dining or the food industry is desirable but not required
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is advantageous
