Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Candidate should be willing to work 2 evenings on and one weekend wednesday to saturday .The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily office activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism, compassion, and technical skills are valued. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly advantageous.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries akin to a dental receptionist role
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety standards
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic,Dentrix, and CAD systems is preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required; additional experience in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
Pay: $20.49-$32.00 per hour
