Our client, a leading civil contractor operating throughout the Interior of British Columbia, specializes in large-scale earthworks, roadbuilding, utility installation, and civil construction for mining, municipal, and oil and gas clients. They are seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations on remote project sites and contribute to the success of their growing team.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications
- Lead and coordinate foremen and civil construction crews performing earthworks, roadworks, and underground utility installation
- Develop and monitor construction schedules, ensuring work progresses according to project timelines and milestones
- Coordinate labour, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and site efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture on site
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and maintain project progress
- Participate in a 14/7 rotation on remote project sites across the Interior of BC, with camp accommodations or LOA provided
- Several years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman
- Strong background in earthworks, roadbuilding, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing multiple crews and coordinating complex construction activities on active project sites
- Experience working on remote project sites in BC or Alberta is considered an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read drawings, understand project specifications, and manage construction schedules
- Experience working on mining, municipal, or oil and gas projects is considered an asset
