We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be contact with our patients and will ensure a smooth and efficient flow of operations in pretest.
This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients prior to protesting.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar as needed.
Verify and update patient information in the electronic health records system Visual Eyes.
Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and documents.
Pretest patients prior to seeing the doctors
Maintain a clean and organized work and waiting area.
Coordinate with the Optometrists and other team members to ensure efficient patient flow.
Perform other optical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Optometric Assistant or MOA is a plus
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting or in a face paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Knowledge of basic optometric terminology and procedures is a plus.
