We are looking for a responsible, professional, and customer-focused Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent to manage overnight motel operations. The ideal candidate will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, answer phone calls, process reservations, perform daily financial reconciliation, and maintain a clean and welcoming front desk area while ensuring excellent guest service during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Operations
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Verify guest identification and payment methods
- Issue room keys and provide property information
- Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly
Reservations & Phone Handling
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally
- Take and process room reservations accurately
- Assist guests with booking inquiries and room availability
- Update reservation systems and guest information
- Respond to guest emails or online booking requests if required
Night Audit & Financial Duties
- Perform nightly audit procedures and reconcile daily transactions
- Verify room charges, payments, and cash handling accuracy
- Generate daily financial and occupancy reports
- Balance cash drawer and credit card transactions
- Ensure all guest charges are posted correctly
Guest Service & Security
- Monitor guest activity and maintain a safe environment
- Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
- Communicate important overnight incidents to management
- Ensure motel policies are followed during the night shift
Light Cleaning & Upkeep
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area
- Perform light housekeeping duties when required
- Restock front desk supplies, coffee station, and guest amenities
- Keep entrance and common areas neat and presentable
Requirements
- Previous hotel, motel, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic computer and reservation system knowledge
- Comfortable handling cash, payments, and reports
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hotel PMS/POS systems such as ASI or similar software
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
- Security awareness and emergency handling skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Pay: $16.00 per hour
