Do you know 4x4s because you live them — not simply because you work around them?
If you’re into adventure vehicles, overlanding, wheels and tires, recovery gear, accessories and building vehicles that are genuinely fit for purpose, this may be the next step in your career.
Weissach INEOS Grenadier is looking for a Junior Parts Specialist who combines a genuine enthusiasm for the 4x4 lifestyle with proven automotive dealership parts experience.
This isn’t simply a parts-counter position. You’ll be joining our team at our new flagship Vancouver facility and helping us build the parts, accessories and bespoke side of one of the most exciting purpose-built 4x4 brands in the market.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone who already understands the discipline, systems and pace of a professional automotive dealership Parts and Service operation.
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum two years of hands-on Parts Department experience within an automotive dealership
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary automotive, parts or technical education is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of electronic parts catalogues, parts lookup and ordering systems
- Experience with manufacturer ordering, parts sourcing and special orders
- Working knowledge of inventory management and control
- Experience with parts invoicing, shipping and receiving
- Ability to plan and pre-order parts against upcoming workshop requirements
- Experience working collaboratively with technicians, service advisors and service management
- Previous service-writing or Service Advisor experience is strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to assist with service-advisor duties when required, including opening and managing repair orders, communicating with customers, coordinating work with technicians and supporting vehicle check-in and delivery
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with European automotive brands is strongly preferred.
- Experience with PBS dealership management software is preferred and will be considered an asset.
- An existing interest in 4x4s, overlanding, adventure vehicles, accessories and vehicle customization is particularly important to us. We want someone who understands the products but also genuinely connects with the Grenadier lifestyle.
The Role
Working closely with our Service Manager and technical team, you will help operate and develop a highly organized, responsive and professional Parts Department.
A major part of your responsibility is ensuring our technicians have the right parts at the right time. That means thinking ahead — reviewing upcoming work, pre-ordering parts, anticipating requirements and helping eliminate unnecessary technician downtime.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, disciplined parts processes and an exceptionally clean, organized and properly merchandised Parts Department.
We operate as a small, collaborative and hands-on team, so versatility matters. While parts will be your primary responsibility, you should be comfortable stepping into the service side of the business when required — helping write service, coordinate customers and technicians, manage workflow and keep the department moving.
Help Build Our Bespoke Program
One of the most exciting aspects of this position is the opportunity to help develop the Weissach INEOS Grenadier Bespoke Program.
Grenadier owners personalize their vehicles around how they intend to use them. You’ll help us develop, source and merchandise accessories, upgrades, wheels, tires, expedition equipment and lifestyle products that complement the Grenadier.
You’ll also help take that program online as we expand into e-commerce and online merchandising of Grenadier parts, accessories and lifestyle products.
The Opportunity
This position is ideally suited to someone who has built a solid foundation in dealership parts and is ready for more responsibility, broader experience and genuine career advancement.
You’re meticulous, organized and tech-savvy. You take pride in accuracy and presentation, understand the importance of keeping a workshop productive, and are the kind of person who is game to jump in and help wherever needed.
As our Grenadier business grows, so will our portfolio of vehicles, accessories and bespoke products — creating considerable opportunity for the right person to grow with us.
Compensation: Competitive base wage plus commission/incentive compensation.
Apply in Confidence
Please apply in confidence with your resume and a brief introduction outlining your dealership parts and service experience, education and qualifications, experience with PBS or other dealership management systems, and your interest or involvement in the 4x4/adventure automotive world.
We thank all applicants for their interest. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
