Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Construction Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, mapping, and documenting construction sites to ensure project precision and compliance with design specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, data management, and relevant software tools to support successful project execution. The Construction Surveyor will play a vital role in providing precise spatial data, supporting construction teams, and ensuring the integrity of project layouts.
Duties
- Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment to gather accurate measurements and spatial data.
- Utilize AutoCAD, CAD, ArcGIS, and GIS software to create detailed maps, drawings, and layouts based on survey data.
- Collect, analyze, and manage data related to construction sites, ensuring accuracy and consistency across databases.
- Assist in the development of construction plans by providing precise survey information aligned with project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of survey data, site measurements, and project progress for reporting purposes.
- Support construction teams by providing real-time spatial information to facilitate efficient site operations.
- Perform data collection in various environments while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret survey results and resolve spatial discrepancies.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD software, ArcGIS, and GIS applications for mapping and data visualization.
- Strong understanding of construction surveying techniques and principles.
- Experience with data collection methods and tools used in surveying environments.
- Knowledge of data management practices including organizing large datasets within databases.
- Ability to operate surveying equipment accurately and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for interpreting spatial data.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with construction processes and site safety standards is a plus.
