Nurse Next Door is currently seeking experienced, registered Continuing Care Assistants (CCA) for casual positions. The CCA provides essential compassionate and person-centered care to clients. You will be a vital member of our care-giving team supporting the physical, emotional and social well-being of our clients according to established care plans.

Pay: $17 - $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
· Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, light house keeping, meal preparation when needed and safe transfers
· Observe and report any changes in physical condition, cognitive status or behavior to Care Designer immediately
· Ensure a safe, clean environment and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols
· Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging dignity and independence
Required Qualifications:
· Education: Completion of an approved CCA program
· Certification Required: must hold a current registration with CCA Registry of Nova Scotia, without conditions
· CPR and First Aid
· Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector
· Legally authorized to work in Canada
· Minimum 1 year experience in CCA setting
· Ability to perform the physical duties of the role including lift and transferring
