Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a professional fleet, handling freight across various regions while adhering to industry standards. The successful candidate will possess strong driving skills, technical knowledge of vehicle operation, and the ability to manage freight logistics efficiently.
- Safely operate Class 1 heavy-duty trucks for long-distance freight transportation across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operational readiness
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety policies and driving regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential issues
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading freight
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment
- Ability to tarp and handle physical demands of flatbed work.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance requirements
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in demanding conditions as needed
