Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and financial record maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting compliance with relevant standards such as GAAP and SOX.
Reporting to the Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, verifying, coding and entering Vehicle Deals
- On-line Commercial Banking
- Reconciliation of Schedules
- Responding to cheque requisition requests
- Supporting month-end closing procedures
- Other accounting and administrative duties as required
As the successful candidate, you have completed your post secondary education with concentration in accounting and have gained a minimum of three years’ bookkeeping level accounting experience. As a mature and highly organized individual, you are accustomed to working efficiently within deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are a problem solver and enjoy working both on your own and in a team environment. Additionally, you are a continuous learner with exceptional attention to detail.
Possessing above average computer skills is required. Experience with PBS software will be considered an asset.
