Overview
We are seeking a skilled Experienced Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional appearance and durability. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of automotive painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. The Automotive Painter plays a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in vehicle repair and refinishing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray guns or other painting equipment
- Match paint colors accurately using color matching tools and techniques
- Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and spray painting procedures
- Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups as needed, utilizing various hand tools and power tools
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or automotive painting background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds)
- Experience with automotive repair or refinishing is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finish quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior mechanic experience is a plus but not required
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
