Position Summary
Realcare is looking for reliable and compassionate Certified Health Care Aides to become part of our expanding care team. This position focuses on helping clients maintain independence, dignity, and overall well-being in both home and facility settings.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Health Care Aide program or comparable medical/nursing education
- Strong English communication skills, including the ability to complete documentation when required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered an asset
- Dependable, self-motivated, and professional attitude
- Current criminal record check, including vulnerable sector and abuse registry checks
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with clients living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or behavioural challenges is an asset

Responsibilities:
Home & Community Care
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and walking support
- Monitor and record vital signs when required
- Encourage and assist with prescribed exercises and physical activity
- Support medication routines and reminders
- Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when necessary
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and social engagement
- Help with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments
Facility Care Duties
- Provide care in accordance with facility procedures and professional standards
- Support residents with daily living activities, nutrition, hygiene, and comfort
- Maintain a safe and clean care environment
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and complete all required charting/documentation
- Respond appropriately to changes in client condition or emergency situations

Pay: $35,479.00-$40,000.00 per year
