Job Summary
Prolux Lighting is a sales agency representing lighting manufacturers for the Alberta commercial and industrial marketplace. Prolux’ primary customers are electrical distributors, but our business focus extends beyond to provide lighting expertise to end-users, installers, consultants, and designers.
An outside sales professional at Prolux works with our customers to develop and nurture business opportunities and create strong industry relationships. The outside sales professional deals with interior designers and architects on a regular basis to build project specifications.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with interior designers and architects in Edmonton
- Primarily responsible for the sales and promotion of all Prolux represented manufacturers and to consider and explore future lighting opportunities for Prolux.
- Facilitate lighting product specifications as opportunities arise
- Host and facilitate manufacturer sales visits to interior designers and architects.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
Qualifications and Skills
Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Ability to manage sales accounts
Customer service driven mindset
Presentation skills for working in front of both small and large groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
