Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Paradigm, as well as familiarity with Surgery, orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly desirable. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area to uphold hygiene standards
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Experience with dental software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Ability to operate CAD systems for digital imaging and diagnostics
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in dental assisting preferred; additional training in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus
