We are currently hiring reliable and experienced Pipelayers / Pipe Crew Skilled Labourers to join our team.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will assist with the installation of underground infrastructure, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, drainage systems, manholes, catch basins, valve chambers, and related site servicing work.
This is a hands-on construction role suited for candidates with experience in civil pipelaying, trench work, pipe grades, bedding, backfilling, and working safely around heavy equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Install and align watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage pipe systems
- Assist with trench preparation, bedding, grading, and backfilling
- Lay pipe to proper alignment, elevation, grade, and slope
- Install manholes, catch basins, valve chambers, and other precast structures
- Work with pipe lasers, grade controls, and layout under foreman direction
- Check pipe alignment, grade, joint condition, and installation quality
- Assist with benching and parging of manholes and catch basins
- Assist with compaction, site clean-up, and general labour duties
- Work safely around excavators, skid steers, dozers, loaders, and packers
- Communicate site issues to the foreman or supervisor
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and construction standards
- Perform physically demanding work outdoors in different weather conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of construction or civil pipelaying experience
- Experience with sewer, storm, watermain, or drainage installation
- Understanding of pipe grades, bedding, trench work, and underground servicing
- Ability to read basic drawings, grades, and site instructions
- Ability to work safely around excavation equipment and heavy machinery
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and safety-focused
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labour
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid G driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
Preferred Experience
The following will be considered an asset:
- 3+ years of sewer and watermain installation experience
- Experience installing PVC, concrete, HDPE, and other pipe materials
- Experience installing manholes, catch basins, and valve chambers
- Experience with pipe lasers and grade control
- Experience operating or assisting with excavators, skid steers, packers, and small equipment
- Previous experience in heavy civil, municipal, or site servicing projects

Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
