Job Description -
Our client in Mississauga, create high-quality, custom kitchens, millwork & cabinetry. We are searching on their behalf for a Senior Cabinet Maker/Lead Shop professional. This role combines hands-on custom cabinetry fabrication with shop leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production, maintain high-quality standards, supervise shop staff, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. *This is a Temp to Perm role, Fulltime opportunity.*Salary range is $35.00/hour - $45.00/hour, Day shift, 8 am – 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities -
- Coordinate daily production schedules and assign tasks to shop employees
- Build and fabricate custom cabinetry and architectural millwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications accurately
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and client expectations
- Train, mentor, and supervise apprentices and junior cabinet makers
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical guidance to the team
- Monitor inventory and material usage to support efficient workflow
- Safely operate and oversee woodworking machinery including CNC machines, edge banders, table saws, and hand tools
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Enforce workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications -
- 5–10+ years of experience in custom cabinetry, woodworking, or architectural millwork
- Strong ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience with woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is an asset
- Leadership and team management experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
