The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our Edmonton team on a full-time, in-office basis. The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely bookkeeping and accounting support for a variety of clients while working closely with our accounting and tax teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a variety of businesses
- Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Post and update journal entries
- Process payroll and prepare GST/HST returns and other remittances
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including preparing trial balances
- Prepare financial statements and working papers
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
- Communicate with clients to obtain information and clarify accounting matters
- Maintain organized and accurate client files
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as required
Qualifications & Previous Experience
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience; 3+ years is an asset
- Experience working with clients across diverse industries and business types
- GST/HST preparation and filing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Technical Skills
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Xero
- Sage
- Dext/Hubdoc
- Microsoft Excel
