The Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. This position involves working closely with lead teachers to facilitate learning activities, provide care, and ensure a safe and stimulating atmosphere for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
What will you be doing?
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:
- Follow all childcare policies, Licensing and legal requirements.
- Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming.
- Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interactions with children, families, and staff.
- Create and deliver developmentally appropriate programming.
- Arrange the physical set up of the centre and maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment.
- Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the centre, children, families and staff.
- Establish clear, consistent, and simple expectations and limits with children.
- Work with reasonable autonomy and independence in arranging materials and ideas for the children, under the direction of the Program Supervisor.
- Complete all required daily shift duties with efficiency.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as necessary.
- Arrange for shift coverage when unable to work a scheduled shift.
- Work cooperatively as a member of a team in a professional and respectful manner.
- Perform other duties as directed.
**Requirement**
- *Early Childhood Educator Certificate ( Must Attach it to your Resume)
- *Please provide 3 References related to your working experience (Must List them in your Resume)
- *At least one year of experience working with children in a licensed child care setting.
- *Current First Aid certificate.
- *Consent to Criminal Record Check.
- Ability to multitask and reassess priorities throughout the day.
- Work positively in a team environment.
- Statement from a medical practitioner indicating good physical and psychological ability to work with children.
- second Langugage is an asset. ( French, mandarin)
- Proof of immunization and tuberculosis vaccinations.
- Positive team player; flexible, punctual, reliable with good communication skills.
