Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of refinery experience
- 4th Class Power Engineering certificate, 3rd or 2nd is preferred
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Attach your Power Engineering operating tickets with your application
Responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to the refinery’s management systems
- Work on a crew covering a qualified post within an operating unit
- Operate the refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines
- Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting to maintain process equipment
- Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations
- Review and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality
Location and other Key details:
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site in Fort McMurray within the Primary Upgrader
- The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off – 12-hour shifts
- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
