We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our Indian Restaurant - The Biryaniwalla . In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling food orders and transactions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Micros POS system.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the cash register with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
