Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking, process improvement, and manufacturing operations. This role involves working with various fabrication techniques to produce high-quality metal components, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with experience in sheet metal fabrication and shop organization & efficiency are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including cutting & bending
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
- Utilize SAP, ERP systems, and MRP software to manage inventory, production schedules, and process workflows
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality in manufacturing operations
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the fabrication process to meet industry standards
- Assist in the development of manufacturing processes aligned with lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and efficient workflow
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and increasing efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Maintain the organization of the shop and yard
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or related manufacturing roles
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, MRP software, and other manufacturing technology tools
- Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Prior involvement in supply chain coordination or process optimization projects is advantageous
- Organization skills are advantageous

Pay: $27.07-$30.00 per hour
