Position Summary
Golden Equity Properties is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Administrative Assistant to support our property management operations and legal processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), and administrative support within a property management or legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize LTB applications, notices, and supporting documentation (N4, N5, N12, L1, L2, etc.).
- Coordinate LTB filing deadlines, hearing schedules, and document submissions.
- Maintain accurate tenant and legal records, including correspondence, payment histories, and case files.
- Assist with the preparation of evidence packages for LTB hearings.
- Communicate with tenants, legal representatives, paralegals, and property management staff regarding tenancy matters.
- Monitor rent arrears files and support the collections and eviction process in accordance with the RTA.
- Draft routine letters, notices, emails, and administrative documents.
- Schedule appointments, hearings, inspections, and meetings.
- Provide general administrative support to the operations and property management team.
- Ensure all documentation is handled confidentially and in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in property management, legal administration, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (Ontario) and Landlord and Tenant Board procedures.
- Experience preparing and filing LTB applications and supporting documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with property management software is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience attending or assisting with LTB hearings.
- Familiarity with rent collection, arrears management, and eviction processes.
- Previous experience in a property management company, law firm, or paralegal office.

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
