Requirement:
We are currently hiring a full-time PSW for our Retirement home care client in Gravenhurst, ON . Must be able to start as soon as possible.
Qualifications and Skills:
A Personal Support Worker (PSW) plays a vital role in providing care and support to individuals who are elderly, chronically ill, disabled, or recovering from illness or surgery. The primary responsibility of a PSW is to assist clients with daily living activities to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. This includes helping with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support. PSWs offer emotional and social support by providing companionship and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities. They also monitor and observe changes in the client's condition and report any concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals. Documentation of the care provided and timely communication with the care team are essential aspects of the role. Overall, PSWs are crucial in promoting the well-being and independence of their clients through compassionate and respectful care..
- PSW Certificate Needed from a public or NACC college.
- A minimum of 6 months of paid work experience
- Valid Vulnerable sector check
- 2 Step TB Test or a Chest X Ray is needed(only if TB is positive)
- Immunization Record
- N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of vaccination - 2 doses is a must
- Flexibility to work out of town, in different homes and different shifts
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Hardworking, compassionate, positive, solution-oriented, professional, and adaptable
- LTC experience considered and asset
- Must have a car
Note : The shifts will be scheduled by the administrator at the home.

Pay: $18.50 per hour
