Job purpose
Glenmore Fabricators Ltd is a CWB Certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and installation company specializing in commercial, industrial, and major infrastructure projects.
We currently have positions available for Apprentice and Journeyman/Journeywoman Structural Field Welders. This is NOT a shop position.
Duties and responsibilities
experience in erecting structural and miscellaneous steel is an asset
- CWB for all position SMAW is required experience necessary.
- Rigging, lifting and guiding components into position with various cranes, mobile equipment, chain falls and by hand.
- Setting and plumbing the structure or piece using levels or laser equipment and referencing gridlines
- Connecting, bolting, welding
- Working from heights with mobile elevated work platforms as well as from steel
- Spreading, laying, fastening metal decking
- Adhering to health and safety policy and practices
Skills and Qualifications
· CWB all position SMAW certification
· AWP certification for Boom and Scissor lifts
· Fall Protection training.
· First aid training.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural/miscellaneous steel welding
- Valid and current CWB certification is required
- Flexible to work in town, out of town, as well as overtime when required.
- Must also be safety conscious, reliable, punctual, show a willingness to learn, and be organized;
- Tasks will involve physical labor, the use of tools, and heavy lifting;
- Experience with Structural Steel/Ironworking
Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
