About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Roofing Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in roofing sales and roofing systems, including flat roofing, torch-on (SBS) membranes, and shingles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, conducting roof assessments, preparing estimates, and helping customers find the right roofing solutions for their projects.
Candidates with previous hands-on roofing experience who have moved into sales are highly valued.
Bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English are considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients to discuss roofing needs
- Conduct on-site roof inspections and project evaluations
- Measure roofs and prepare accurate estimates for repairs and replacements
- Provide professional recommendations on roofing systems and materials
- Explain project scope, installation procedures, and warranty information to clients
- Maintain and follow up on sales leads and customer inquiries
- Coordinate project details with office staff, project managers, and roofing crews
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service
- Ensure all project information is communicated clearly and accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in roofing sales or construction sales preferred
- Strong understanding of flat roofing systems, SBS torch-on membranes, and shingle roofing
- Experience performing roof measurements and inspections
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to prepare detailed and accurate quotations
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have:
- Ability to communicate in both Chinese and English
- Previous field experience as a roofer, roofing foreman, or roofing technician
- Knowledge of flashing, waterproofing, gutters, and roof drainage systems
- Experience with residential and commercial roofing projects
