Travelodge Suites Saint John is currently seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are looking for a reliable and skilled individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair duties throughout the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist with snow removal and basic groundskeeping as needed
Maintain maintenance logs and records
Collaborate with management to identify long-term maintenance needs
Acquire quotes for any upcoming maintenance projects to submit to management
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a maintenance or building operations role preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Flexible schedule, including availability for emergency repairs
