We partner with established global manufacturers and emerging creators to launch and commercialize top-tier products across Canada. As our portfolio of exclusive and OEM brands continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Brand Specialist to drive our front-end brand identity, community engagement, and commercial execution.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to Senior Leadership, the Brand Specialist will take ownership of the visual positioning, community engagement, and marketing execution for our portfolio of exclusive and OEM brands.
This role is dynamic and high-visibility, ideal for an ambitious junior-to-mid-level professional (2–4 years of experience) who thrives on combining creative storytelling with commercial business analysis. You will be responsible for maintaining brand consistency across digital and trade channels, building relationships with local Toronto culinary voices and influencers, coordinating trade events, and providing critical sales enablement tools to our commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital & Web Presence
Website Management & Visual Positioning: Oversee the visual layout, branding, and content structure of the company website. Ensure online product catalogs, brand stories, and company value propositions remain compelling and aligned with overall corporate positioning.
Social Media & Content Operations: Maintain a consistent, high-quality brand reputation across all active social media channels. Manage and execute a structured monthly content calendar for exclusive and OEM brands.
Digital Campaigns & Promotions: Plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns and online promotions leveraging the company website, landing pages, and email newsletter/B2B communications to drive awareness for exclusive and OEM brands, and seasonal pushes.
Creative Asset Design: Utilize design tools (e.g., Canva) to design digital graphics, web banners, product photography assets, and promotional landing page content that reflect high brand standards.
Performance Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on key digital metrics, website engagement, social trends, and campaign ROI on a monthly basis.
2. Community & Culinary Hub (Events, Influencers & Field Activation)
Culinary Hub & Relationship Building: Establish and position company as the primary center of influence and industry hub for Asian and specialty culinary voices across the GTHA. Proactively curate, build, and nurture an active network of top food creators, chefs, bloggers, and media personalities, connecting them directly with our exclusive brands and launches.
Event & Trade Show Logistics: Lead coordination for trade shows, consumer expos, and local industry events (venue bookings, promoter staffing, invoice processing).
On-Site Execution: Oversee physical booth prep, material transport, and visual setup for off-site activations (occasional weekend work required; compensated via flex time).
Point-of-Sale (POS) Collateral: Coordinate the design, printing, and inventory distribution of Point-of-Sale (POS) and Point-of-Purchase (POP) promotional materials for field events and retail displays.
3. Commercial Sales Enablement & Strategy
Corporate & Product Collateral: Develop, maintain, and update the company’s internal sales pitch decks. Clearly articulate company value proposition highlighting key differentiators ("why buy from us"), pricing strategy, supply chain reliability, and brand exclusivity versus regional competitors.
Sales Tools & Launch Kits: Create high-impact, professional commercial tools for the Sales and Business Development teams, including branded sell-sheets, technical product guides, catalog inserts, and promotional launch kits.
Strategic Customer Account Support: Support monthly or quarterly business reviews (QBRs) by compiling sales performance data, pipeline updates, and brand revenue tracking for Senior Leadership. Tailor custom presentation decks for top-tier retail and foodservice accounts to support account expansion and shelf-space retention.
Campaign Implementation & Market Analysis: Assist in executing marketing plans and co-promotional efforts with retail and foodservice partners. Perform regular market research tracking competitor pricing, industry trends, and emerging product opportunities in the specialty food sector.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in brand marketing, trade marketing, or commercial marketing (experience within CPG, food distribution, retail, or hospitality is a strong asset).
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Digital & Web Literacy: Experience updating website content and managing landing pages via content management systems is a plus, though no advanced coding is required.
Design & Digital Tools: Proficiency with Canva and standard social media management tools.
Analytical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, data manipulation) for tracking sales trends and campaign metrics.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is considered a significant asset given our supplier and partner network.
Mobility & Physical Effort: Valid G-class driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle (for local event setups and partner visits). Ability to assist with physical event logistics and trade show booth builds.
