Position Overview
Maple Global Transport is seeking experienced and safety-focused AZ Drivers and Owner Operators to join our growing team. Successful candidates will transport construction materials, utility poles, steel products, industrial equipment, machinery, and other flatbed freight throughout Ontario. Drivers will be responsible for operating safely, securing loads properly, and delivering freight on time while maintaining a professional attitude with customers and job site personnel.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer and flatbed equipment.
- Transport construction materials, utility poles, steel, machinery, industrial equipment, and oversized freight throughout Ontario.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other load securement equipment.
- Ensure compliance with MTO regulations, CVOR requirements, Hours of Service regulations, and company safety policies.
- Complete bills of lading, inspection reports, electronic logs, and delivery documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and project site personnel.
- Deliver freight safely and on schedule to various customer locations and job sites.
- Report delays, incidents, equipment defects, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Maple Global Transport in a positive manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence.
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR record.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience is required.
- Previous flatbed experience is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of load securement regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical duties related to load securement.
Owner Operator Requirements
- Provide and maintain a safe, roadworthy tractor unit.
- Minimum 1 year of Owner Operator experience is required.
- Maintain all required operating permits, insurance, and safety equipment.
- Equipped with a functioning ELD system.
- Ability to haul flatbed freight and perform proper load securement.

Compensation Company AZ Driver
- Starting wage: $30.00 per hour
- 40+ hours a week
- No company benefits currently offered
Owner Operator
- Competitive percentage-based compensation

Schedule
- Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as required)
- Local and regional Ontario deliveries
- Early morning starts and varying shift lengths depending on customer requirements

Experience:
