My client, a healthcare company in the
GTA, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented
Controller to join their finance team. If you are a

This is a pivotal role that will allow you to leverage your expertise in a rapidly expanding company within the specialized healthcare sector. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of internal financial reporting, refining accounting processes, and supporting the overall financial health of the business. You'll also have the chance to contribute to the company's growth initiatives, including acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes and review consolidated financial results
- Ensure internal reporting is accurate, timely, and satisfies internal, regulatory, and external requirements
- Implement, monitor, and ensure appropriate controls and procedures exist over financial reporting, including information and processes in NetSuite
- Provide information and analysis to senior management to support critical operating and strategic decisions, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Assist the VP Finance and CFO with M&A activities, including due diligence, target assessment, and integrations
- Coach and develop members of the accounting team through collaboration and effective feedback
- Lead the financial maintenance of NetSuite and ensure financial data integrity
- Identify and implement process efficiencies and improvements on an ongoing basis, including utilizing AI tools
- Manage all regulatory and TSX filings
- Own the cash flow management process, including cash flow forecasts, payment cycles, debt payments, and reporting
Qualifications:
- CPA designation is required
- Must have public accounting experience with a few years of industry experience, demonstrating an understanding of industry flow
- Experience working through purchase price allocation or being on a team that did acquisitions is helpful
- Proficiency with NetSuite is a significant advantage
- Previous exposure as an Assistant Controller, Senior Financial Analyst, or Senior Accountant with responsibilities managing the entire accounting function
