Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel property. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance.
This role requires strong management skills, technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance to support continuous production and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Property Maintenance
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the hotel building and grounds.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are maintained in excellent condition.
- Perform and supervise repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify areas requiring repair or improvement.
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all hotel equipment and systems.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime and costs.
- Maintain maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and train maintenance staff.
- Assign daily work orders and monitor completion.
- Foster a safe, productive, and professional work environment.
- Assist other departments with operational maintenance needs.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain fire safety systems and emergency equipment.
- Coordinate inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of maintenance tools and chemicals.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Hospitality experience required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
