Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Concrete Former & Finisher to join our construction team with a minimum of 5 years of experience. In this vital role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing, and finishing concrete structures that form the foundation of our projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each concrete element is durable, precise, and meets all safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to bring architectural visions to life.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete forms and finishes.
- Set up formwork using carpentry skills, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and dimensions for concrete pours.
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently during concrete placement.
- Install reinforcement bars (rebar) according to specifications to strengthen concrete structures.
- Finish concrete surfaces with hand tools and power tools, achieving smooth textures, troweled finishes, or decorative effects as required.
- Perform restoration and repair work on existing concrete structures, including patching, sealing, and caulking.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, inspecting materials, and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
- Proficiency in rebar installation, masonry work, drywall installation, flooring installation, and welding.
- Skilled in the operation of heavy machinery and power tools used in concrete forming and finishing.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with renovation projects involving restoration or remodeling of existing structures.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and proper lifting techniques for heavy materials.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with a keen eye for detail in finishing surfaces.
