Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will understand Plastic Extrusion manufacturing and be responsible for ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards while maintaining a safe work environment. In addition to filling out regular reports, training employees in proper Extrusion processes, and maintaining quality in production, the Production Manager will be a team player who controls the floor.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate production activities
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Fill in reports and track KPIs
- Monitor production processes to ensure they are efficient and cost-effective
- Train, supervise, and evaluate production staff
- Implement measures to ensure product quality meets standards
- Ensure safe work practices are followed
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
- Available to fill in for other tasks were required
Qualifications
- Experience in Plastic Extrusion (>5 Years preferred)
- Experience in a Production Manager role (>2 years preferred)
- Proficiency in setting up and monitoring Extruders
- Forklift license would be an asset
- Strong understanding of basic math and lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to fabricate and conduct quality inspections using tools like calipers
- Experience in warehouse management and inventory control
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and techniques
